Houston Safari Club Foundation

This year, the Houston Safari Club Foundation’s Worldwide Hunting Expo and Convention will take place on January 24th - 26th, 2020 in Houston, Texas.  The three-day hunting convention offers up exhibitors focused on hunting, fishing, hunting gear, clothing, firearms, artwork, jewelry and more from around the world.  The banquets and auctions are awesome events offering great networking and the opportunity to purchase some incredible auction items.

The theme of the 2020 HSCF Worldwide Hunting Expo & Convention is #TOGETHER2020.  TOGETHER We Can Do Great Things! TOGETHER we can work to educate more students about hunting as a conservation tool. TOGETHER we can further support the education of our future researchers and decision makers. TOGETHER we can provide more funds to support and protect wildlife and habitat!”

Weekend Passes run $25.00 for the entire expo, and evening events are an additional fee. The banquets and auctions are great events to meet like-minded hunter conservationists.  The auctions are filled with some amazing items, art and hunts. Friday evening’s banquet includes the Annual HSCF hunting awards and recognition of scholarship recipients, live auctions, games and music by Don Felder.  Don Felder is the former lead guitarist of The Eagles.  Don is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Felder spent 27 years with The Eagles who have sold over 150 million albums worldwide including Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) which has sold over 38 million copies and counting.

Saturday night features keynote speaker David Bernhardt, United States Secretary of the Interior.  The Saturday night gala will also feature live auctions and top out with comedian Tom Papa. Tom is the Head Writer and regular performer for the legendary radio show, “Live From Here”, heard regularly by the 2.6 million fans of the weekly radio show. Personally chosen by Jerry Seinfeld, Tom hosted the NBC series, The Marriage Ref, which ran for two seasons. Tom had a recurring role opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus on the CBS series, “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” and starred in his own NBC series, “Come to Papa”.

Every year celebrities attend the HSCF Worldwide Hunting Expo and Convention and 2020 is no different.  This year Michelle and Andrew Buchanan of Pursuit Channels, “This is Africa” and  Brian and Alexis Spicer of The Sportsman Channel’s “No Limits Hunting” will attend.  Both of these couples will make appearances throughout the show.

Houston Safari Club Foundation has been donating money to scholarships, conservation, youth and veterans from the beginning.  Over the life of the HSCF, the organization has raised over $2.1 million across 500 scholarships as well as over $3.7 million in conservation grants.  This is an organization worth supporting.  The show is smaller, but more intimate and filled with some of greatest people in hunting and conservation.

If you are interested in attending, check out their site and book your rooms.
