I would
personally like to welcome you to my new web site, CRAIGBODDINGTON.COM.
During my lifetime, I have been blessed to turn my passions of shooting and
hunting into a career as an outdoor communicator. During this time, I have
had 20 books and over 3000 magazine features published in an attempt to
share my adventures, memories and observations on the great sports of
shooting and hunting.
The goal of every outdoor writer
is to develop a loyal readership, and to every person who has ever bought
one of my books, read one of my articles, purchased one of my videos or
attended one of my seminars, I am extremely grateful for your support.
Often
in my travels I am
asked about where to purchase a particular book, what new projects am I
working on, or if a particular book is going to be reprinted. All good
questions… but sometimes difficult to answer. Hopefully, this web site
will help answer all of these questions and provide my readers with some
added perks when they purchase books, video and DVD's from me directly.
Outside of a personal appearance or seminar, my new web site is the only
place where you can purchase a signed copy of one of my books!
Many serious book collectors value a signed copy by the author.
If you would like to order a personally signed book, please be patient as I
am often out of the office for a few weeks at a time. I will however make it
a priority to sign and ship your book to you immediately upon my return.
I invite you to use the
"Tell A Friend"
and
"Add To Favorites List" features to let all your
hunting friends and acquaintances know about CraigBoddington.com. Remember to
visit often so that we may keep you up to date on the new book
releases, videos and my personal appearance schedule. I once again would
like to thank you for your
support. |

BODDINGTON ON AFRICAN RIFLES
(PRODUCED BY SAFARI CLASSICS PRODUCTIONS 2009)
The subject of rifles and cartridges for African hunting has been one of the most popular campfire discussions for generations, and has spawned some of our best hunting literature. I’ve contributed a wee bit with my Safari Rifles, which has been by far the most popular of my 20-odd books, recently updated and expanded into Safari Rifles II. My partners at Safari Classics and I thought that, using a combination of field, range, and studio footage, the subject was ideal for a feature-length DVD, something that has never been attempted. The result is Boddington on African Rifles, continuing our series of African-based feature-length DVDs, but this time focusing on the rich, varied, and fascinating subject of rifles, cartridges, bullets, and sights for African hunting. We take you through both the history and modern applications of African rifles and cartridges—and then we look at suitable choices for the various classes of game, finally putting it all together in recommendations for safari batteries for your hunting. This DVD features many classic big bore rifles up through and including the .700 nitro express and includes historic rifles such as John “Pondoro” Taylor’s .450 double and Fletcher Jamieson’s .500 Jeffrey. If you like hunting—or if you like hunting rifles—this DVD is for you! .
Run time – 2 hours 15 minutes.

Big Game Argentina by Craig Boddington
(Patagonia Publishing, December 2009)
This book is quite a bit different from anything I’ve ever done. It is the first book in English on Argentinean big game, despite the fact that Argentina is, actually and perhaps surprisingly, the most popular hunting destination in the world. It is also the first “coffee table” book I’ve done in many a year, amazingly illustrated by Guillermo Zarraquin, a talented young Argentinean photographer who stuck with me through several months of hunting in pursuit of this book. Come to think of it, it was also the first time I’ve been accompanied by a professional still photographer, so we both learned much! The book includes hunting for most Argentinean big game species, with about a dozen outfitters. It’s gorgeous, and I think it covers the subject extremely well.
Hardcover, with dust jacket, 168 pages, 12.5x10” format, 200 color photos and original drawings.

SAFARI RIFLES II - Trade Edition
It was clear back in 1990 when publisher Ludo Wurfbain and I took the plunge and released Safari Rifles. Neither of us envisioned that this would become the best-selling and most enduring title for both of us! That was a long time ago; the last two decades have seen many innovations and changes. When I was writing Safari Rifles I could not envision the incredible resurgence of both the .416s and the double rifle, not to mention the many new cartridges, rifles, and advancements in both hunting bullets and optics. African hunting, too, has changed over time. And, let’s face it: I know a great deal more now than I did back then! SAFARI RIFLES II is not just an update or a revision; it is truly a word-for-word rewrite plus tremendous expansion. The result is the largest book I have personally written, and I think you will agree it is the most comprehensive volume ever done on the timeless subject of rifles, cartridges, bullets, and sights for all aspects of African hunting. And of course, I conducted a new "Professional Hunters Survey" so you can see what over 100 current PHs recommend! I hope you enjoy this one, because I don’t expect to ever do this again! Hardcover, dust jacket, 6x9”, 608 pages, illustrated primarily in color, historical photos in black and white.
