Among your best memories of Africa will be sundowners from the ridge above Stanley Pieterse’s main camp, looking off across the Limpopo Valley, Botswana on the far side of the river. When Stanley joined CBEO he was a young outfitter, family not yet started. We were struck by his passion, his attention to detail, the way that he cared about the land, the animals…and his clients.

Now in his 20th year as an outfitter, he’s still young outfitter…with a growing family. Stanley and his wife Seugnet have fulfilled the potential we envisioned, living up to their credo: “We take care of our clients and people.” Staney Pieterse is an outfitter and PH that his customers rave about…and remain loyal to. His headquarters and home ranch, Kwatara, are in the heart of the beautiful Limpopo valley, seven comfortable, well-appointed chalets with common areas, a fire circle, swimming pool. And, up above, his famous ridge to catch the amazing African sunset.

In that area, he offers the full range of South African plains game, plus exceptional buffalo. From there, he can branch out and hunt numerous concessions near and far, in South Africa, and neighboring countries. The reopening of Botswana has enabled a small number of leopard permits, hunted with hounds and the unique and exciting Botswana technique of tracking with Bushmen in the Kalahari sand. Nestled on a hill, our luxury stone and thatch-roofed lodge sensibly integrates itself into the surrounding environment and consists of 7 air-conditioned en-suite rooms accommodating up to 14 guests at a time. The bedrooms are luxury, air-conditioned and en-suite chalets with twin or king size beds, clean linen, fresh towels, laundry basket and writing table with a big mirror. Decorated to echo the colours and textures of Africa, this stone and thatch roofed chalet will make you truly feel at home. The rooms are fitted with a flushing toilet, shower, bath, basin, hot and cold water and electrical sockets running at 220 volts.
