Haralds Barviks is the Latvian Safari Club founder and owner. He is also an SCI life-time member, Certified CIC (International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation) Measurer, Chairman of the Board of LATMA (Latvian Hunters Association), and a member in FACE (Federation of Associations for Hunting and Conservation of the EU). Haralds is a professional guide with great experience, not only in guiding in Latvia but also in Russia, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan mountains. Hunting has been his lifestyle for 45 years. He was the first one to start organized hunting tours for foreign hunters in Latvia 30 years ago.
During these years hunts have been organized all over the world, in all continents. This has helped to build up huge experience and establish a long-standing relationship with hunting agents in countless countries. Long-term and close cooperation between these organizations has helped to solve hunter and hunting issues in Latvia and Europe. Haralds is actively involved in all legislative processes related to hunting and regulation of fire arms.
Haralds' goal is to promote the popularity of hunting in Latvia, understanding hunting, as well as preserving hunting traditions. Haralds founded both the Latvian Young Hunters Club and Latvian Huntresses Club under the Latvian Hunter's Association to help young hunters and huntresses to learn new skills and improve their knowledge, develop their shooting skills, and educate society about the role of hunting in conservation. Latvian Young Hunter's Club unites our new generation of young hunters & huntresses under the age of 23.
