JSB Outfitters

JSB Safaris is a fourth-generation, family-owned hunting and fishing outfitter based in Klein Windhoek, Namibia. Founded on a genuine, inherited passion for the African bush, the company is personally run by Stephan Bezuidenhout and Jeffery Foster and operates across Namibia and Angola. Every safari they offer, from a five-day plains-game hunt to a fully permitted leopard or elephant, is built on three things: authentic family hospitality, ethical fair-chase hunting, and measurable, science-backed conservation. Respect for the land and their guests informs all their actions. All PHs are licensed and speak English.

Where they hunt

JSB's main hunting grounds are North West Namibia (the Kunene Region) and the south and south-east of Angola. These are wild, low-pressure landscapes where free-range country and well-managed ranches produce strong trophy genetics and a wide variety of species. In the Kunene, the results of long-term conservation work are visible everywhere you look. Across both countries, clients can also access central savannah bushveld and the southern Kalahari, giving JSB a footprint of more than 75,000 hectares of hunting terrain and the ability to build a multi-week, multi-experience trip without ever leaving the JSB family.

Conservation that connects community and habitat

For JSB, conservation-focused hunting depends on two pillars that cannot be separated: community upliftment and habitat management. In the areas where they operate, the team has carved out the processes and partnerships that make both possible, enabling proactive, effective management of people, habitat and animals, and the ever-

challenging balance between them. The family behind JSB founded and operates the Environmental Compliance Consultancy (ECC), a working environmental science practice that informs the quotas, offtake limits, habitat management and community partnerships behind every JSB hunt. Hunting revenue is channelled back into ecological monitoring, landscape protection and rural employment, creating a closed, evidence-based conservation cycle. JSB is NAPHA and NTB registered.

Angola

JSB's Angolan operation opens up species and wilderness rarely on offer to American hunters today, including sable, roan, sitatunga, defassa waterbuck and true off-grid camp experiences. In Angola they hunt on private ranches, where guests see biodiversity restoration and habitat work first-hand. Public-land hunting is still under review and trophy export isn't possible yet, so clients leave with photos and footage. JSB is working with the Angolan government to put the right framework in place so sustainable hunting can grow with the country.

Fishing and photographic add-ons

Tiger-fishing expeditions run on the Kavango and Zambezi river systems aboard fully equipped river boats operated by local skippers. Fishing can be a three to four day add-on to a safari or a standalone trip. Photographic additions include game drives, the Namib dunes, ocean excursions and sunrise trips to purpose-built photography hides.

Logistics

The JSB team coordinates all in-country logistics: airport pick-up, inter-area transfers, charter flights to Caprivi and Angola, and final delivery to shipping agent or taxidermist.

Freshwater on the Kavango and Zambezi (tiger-fishing trips): tigerfish, bream/tilapia, nembwe, African pike, catfish (barbel).

Namibian coast, rock and surf and ski-boat: kob (kabeljou), west coast steenbras, galjoen, blacktail, garrick (leervis), snoek, and shore sharks such as bronze whaler (copper shark) and spotted gully shark.
