Hunting Consortium was already operating in the Soviet Union in 1987, entered Russia with its first clients in 1990, was in Kamchatka by 1992, and has had its own staff on the ground there since 1994. Craig Boddington was one of the first western hunters to go to Kamchatka with Hunting Consortium for brown bear hunting in 1992, during the early years of western hunting access in Russia.
